Humanity faces extinction at the hands of an artificial intelligence which we created, and it will take every last one of us to defeat the rise of the machines… Enormous walking Battle Mechs have breached the outskirts of the city and relentless Hover Drones pummel the infrastructure of our buildings and roads. We make our stand at the war-torn city center complex, which houses the Energy Pulse Generator that powers our civilization and feeds the resistance.

Enter the hidden bunker of the Resistance movement to receive your mission objectives and suit up into your high-tech laser gear. The bunker is cold and dark with concrete walls and steel support girders, sparsely decorated with schematic diagrams and maps of the local terrain. Study the enemy mech readouts to learn their weaknesses and memorize the city layout to locate your objectives and find your way back to safety when the mission is complete.

Leave behind the minimal protection provided by the bunker shelter and begin your tactical sweeps of the war-torn terrain. The city complex has been devastated by this war, and has been left a battered shell of brick and steel structures with piles of rubble outcroppings that provide cover from the elements. Massive 16 foot tall Mechs are strategically stationed on both sides of the complex awaiting their orders, and the menacing Hover Drones search the rubble for any signs of resistance.
